The Lighthouse is fixed. I'm getting tourists now, but I can't figure out how to sell stuff to Renard the Rat.
Also, why do I have to pay for everything and do all the work? That Renard is the Laziest POS in the game!
its a slow process at first, but you will make more as you expand the town. It wont happen over night.
the more shops you open, the more carts you have , and the more things for the tourist to enjoy, the more you earn.
I just discovered that by making Beach Chairs and putting them out for the tourists we get paid 5 gold coins each from the tourists. More chairs means more money!!!
But I gotta say it's a total rip-off for the tourists! Could you imagine spending all your vacation money to visit this slum where there is absolutely NOTHING going on and virtually no economy at all? It really adds new meaning to the words "TOURIST TRAP". And that Renard is the greediest and laziest SOB on the island, We do all the work and source all the materials and pay for all the blueprints but he's the one who gets the lion's share of the profits.
In real life when that happens ...when tourism comes to town prices go up! Everything becomes so expensive that the people who live there can't afford it anymore and they get priced out of their own homes. Their little island Paradise becomes a postcard picture-perfect hell on earth in which nobody lives.
Each constructed town building provides another 125-ish $ per toursit season even without expansions (you still have to pay for blueprints, those cost starting from 200, 300, 1000 etc).
Each storm restocks and respawns items on islands, so you can gather same stuff again, just generally go loot whole island, return to Renard and check how much everything costs.
okay first off the otter guy is always open..
and if you play the full game you can make quite a lot of money.
