Glazed veggies

So I've seen the recipe but it says 1sweet food.. What does that mean?

Sugar, candy, anything that has the type icon of a twist-wrapped piece of candy.

where do i find veggies tho?

The easiest sweet foods are:
Sugar, found in flotsam (floating barrels/boxes)
Poconuts, found on Hot Tropic

Spongeleaf Lettuce & Seacorns can be found in old planters when you dismantle them, also underwater.

Carrots can be found on Hotter Tropic

Tatordrakes can be found on Five Little Crabs

Poconuts, Sugar, Candy, Candied Candy, Cinnamon Swirly-Doodle.

Someone said they could be found on crab island, they are on radio island as well.
