Critter Cove

Critter Cove

Quest difficulties (radio tower, wet suit)
For some reason, I cannot complete the radio tower. I received the quest, but the option to replace parts is not appearing anywhere around the tower.

I also cannot figure out how to unlock the wet suit quest. I have opened and staffed the clothing store, and found and read the note in the underwater ruins, but still nothing.

Ok, figured out the radio. Had to give items to the otters instead of fixing it myself.

Still cant figure out why the wet suit quest wont load...

Are you checking the bulletin board? I know some of the quests for the various shopkeepers will have a note on the bulletin board, not sure if a) that's necessary to start them or b) if the wetsuit quest was one of them.

I have been checking the board, but the only shop notes I have seen have been food requests from the cafe. I have a few other uncompleted quests that I think might be preventing overall progression..?

Have had the same problem for over a week, I tried two new characters and it still won't start, and yes, I've checked the notice board daily and still no wet suit quest. The devs really need to sort this out as at least I know I'm not the only one now.

Even if it doesn't pop up on the notice board, check with whoever's staffing the clothing store just to check.

Finally got it to go through! It did show up on the notice board, but only after completing some other quests -I think it was the radio tower quest that finally unlocked it. The quest lines seem to be more linear than I had realized.

Generally, I finish the scuba suit quest before the radio one. Wonder if there was still some conflict in there, though. If there was, I'd have thought it would be having another open quest from whoever is staffing the clothing shop.

How do I repair the control panel for the radio tower quest? Does the radio quest need a blue print to repair the control panel? There is no notification that one is needed.

I have spent hours trying to do the radio tower quest, running around gathering damaged control panels. I've watched videos until I :steamfacepalm: I've googled how to repair the control panel, didn't help.

I haven't done the light house quest because I found enough of the radio circuits, if that's what they're called to finish the first part of the quest.

Someone please help and tell me what I'm missing.

Did you craft a control panel? If so, give it to the brother who gave you that quest.

Anchor should have given you the blueprint for the repaired control panel when he gives you the quest to repair the panel by your boat to open the upgrades for the boat.
You should have the plan on the engineering table if you took that quest.

I can't craft one. It's not in the engineer crafting table menu. Issac or the other brother never gave me a blue print to repair the control panel.

I also haven't repaired the boat upgrade thingie because Anchor hasn't given me the quest to repair it. I'm going to finish the lighthouse and build the first 2 shops. Then maybe Anchor will ask me to repair the boat upgrade. Which means the quests are Not a good design if I get the repair control panel blueprint.

To the devs, if you're going to make the game quests only work if they're done in a certain order, don't have quests given to the player out of order.

Many of the quests do require that you are able to craft an item you learn from a different quest. If you run into quests as you explore that seem to require specialized knowledge, it doesn't mean you need to do it in order, but it may mean that you will be unable to complete that quest for awhile.

You know that won't be so bad once this EA game has a chance to grow more and get some guides for it. But right now it's so new that the main sources for help is utube videos.

Let me describe what watching a video is like for me. 1st, the person does something to make their voice sound weird, like finger nails on a chalk board for example. 2nd, they flash like and subscribe across the screen continuously. 3rd, they start to hum off tune and make silly comments through out the video. 4th, by this time my brain cells are exploding causing little specs in my vision as I seek an answer to what I need to do to complete the quest. 5th, I close that video and start the next one and the torture continues. So forgive my frustrations as my patience had expired. But on the bright side, I attended patience's wake and funeral and can now move on. :)

I miss the days when written walkthroughs and guides were the norm. If I'm forced to watch a video, I always mute it and turn on captions.
