cooking at the food cart?

the little snack shack cart has people standing either inside of it or cooking beside it with a frying pan, but we have to pre-make the meals before putting them in the cart so this seems odd, anyone else? (also we should be able to put the kabobs in the cart)
I did try moving it and am still having the same issue.

It's just what they do at the snack shack. May be a holdover from the demo days? And then they walk away with the food I guess they just heated themselves. You still get the cash. If it's a islander instead of a tourist, they just go through the motions but don't take any of the food.

I think the kebabs go in the grill instead, when you get it.

This happen to me also, and i needed to talk to the critter that was standing inside cart. I had to pick up the cart to talk and finish a quest, but I lost what food was in the cart Ugh!
