Water Planter, just how to use it?

I can't figure out how to use the water planter. Sponge Leaves and the Corn plant doesn't give seeds. Pressing the interaction button on the Planter makes my character stand motionless for a few seconds, and nothing happen.

You have to put Sponge Leaf Lettuce & Seacorn plants into a Recycler to get Seeds

Then once you have the Seeds, equip them then swim up to the Ocean Planter & interact with it.

I wonder why they can't give the seeds upon interacting, like some ground plants.
But anyways, thanks. I'll check that out next time I play the game.

its a matter of position. keep moving around it till you get plant as option from directly next to the plant pots.

for the sea planters that you make yourself , you can stand on top of them with seeds and plant them, and then you can also stand on top of the planters to harvest them as well.

this may well be true as i can do this on the rigs planters. but only sometimes on my homemades. most times i need to be underwater and directly next to the planter im attempting to use

The thing isn't being unable to plant, was because I had no idea how to get seeds to plant it.

oh well, when you get the recycler, you place crops in it to get seeds, this goes for any food item except for crab apples.

ah, my bad lol it was early i misread i guess. still good to share what we need to know. that recycler was my hurdle as well at first. thank you and happy gaming
