How do you open Wrapped Cargo?

Can't for the life of me figure out how to open it. I picked up three from the sunken ship, but nowhere in any menu can I find how to open them! Copperbottom is telling me I can get cool things from them, but alas I am unable to unveil their secrets. (Loving the game a lot!)

Found another ship and instead of picking up Wrapped Cargo it opened them immediately, so I think it was a bug that I picked them up instead of collecting them

Wrapped cargo is early access quest-line, not demo play
(assuming its a salvage quest )
there is only one wrapped cargo demo quest...

i wish you could open it in the demo every save gives me like 4 of those things.
could be a bug them not being open-able though.

No, this one isn't a quest item. I can sell it for $50.

The fetch quest is for Marked Cargo. I never found a use for Wrapped Cargo aside from selling it.
