Critter Cove

Just a few questions
Playing around with the demo and loving the game, but I was hoping someone could help answer these questions:

- Does anyone know what to do with Frankenwaddle?
- What about the Fish Fossil?
- Any idea where to find rubber? Can't find any to make scuba gear with, so I've just been diving without it (suffering).
- Is quartz a limited resource? I found lots in the first few days but after that it just doesn't seem to spawn anymore.
- Does anyone have the recipe for glazed meat? I tried Meat + Sugar, Meat + Sweet, and Meat + Meat + Sugar without any luck. Found the item in a container but can't seem to guess the recipe.

I've been exploring as much as I can, but I was wondering if anyone had found any shipwrecks or diving locations that I had missed:

Thank you!

So glad you're enjoying Critter Cove!

-some items are decorative, like trophies of your awesome exploration
-the fish fossil (and other artifacts you will find as you explore) will be used as you expand your town (think museum)
-rubber is currently a random spawn, but there will be ways to make it when we go to early access; Anchor should give you a first set of scuba gear, did something happen to yours, or did you not reach this point in the game yet?
-quartz is not limited, but the respawns during demo are; I think you currently get one rainstorm that respawns salvage, but until e.a. resources are a bit more limited
-try one meat one fruit (I can't remember for sure, but I think that might be it)

Hope this helps!

Thanks a bunch for the reply! I'll try to place Frankenwaddle in my house then, I was thinking he might be used somewhere else.

I did get the scuba gear but it's used up and I couldn't figure out how to recharge it, so I figured I needed to make a new set. If I can just replace the oxygen tank that would be fantastic, I have a ton of those.

Repair the air tank machine (should have been the quest Anchor gave you when you originally got the scuba gear), then you should be able to refill all the rusty tanks to your heart's content!

Success, Frankenwaddle has been placed on a table. I hadn't realized just having air tanks in my inventory would refill my scuba time, so thanks again!

Can't wait to pick up the game once it's launched =)

they are found in salvage randomly all over the place, when you are diving or exploring disassemble old machines and metal objects and you should find lots of mechanical parts

oh, and there is now a list of all recipes you can cook in the demo on the wiki for the game.

Confused on the Air tanks.

1) found rusty air tank
2) Filled it up in the Tank Refill Station
3) Used it up and brought it back to the refill station but you cannot refill it.

The tanks are yellow now and says Requires (Tank refill station) yet it doesn't allow you to refill it.

What am I missing?

Tanks are consumable resources, you can only fill up the rusty ones. If you ever run out, Renard always sells one rusty tank a day, but it's pretty easy to come across them if you check the shipwrecks around the island after a storm

Darn. It was different in the demo. I used up so many tanks being silly. Thank you!
