Controls

The Controls in this game are a little wonky.... when you move forward and side to side its smooth transition but move direction back and it snaps back i think it would be alot better smooth all around. SWIMMING!!!!! Now the swimming is not easy i feel should be adjusted. last but not least when i tried controller the game does not switch over control menu so still says press E to pick up ect.

Thanks for the feedback! The game does not have full controller support yet, but we're working on introducing that for Early Access :)

I thought it was my controller, I can only play this game if I use mouse/Keyboard with my Steam Deck.

It says "Full controller support on the Steam page"...

I am playing on my Deck and so far have not had to use anything but the Deck's own sticks and buttons. I did have to use touchscreen on the main menu once to select new game and that's it.
Only issue I see is a minor one where is shows keyboard prompts rather than the Deck's buttons but it only took a few seconds to work it out.
Default settings and configuration, no change to Proton version, etc

I only did minor testing for a couple of minutes. I couldn't use the controller for the main menu, so I swapped to mouse and keyboard after that.

Yes, you are correct the buttons don't work on the main menu and the controllee buttons don't appear, it only shows keyboard keys.

Full controller support is indicated for the game's release, this is a beta so the support is currently WIP - however we have tested the game on the Steam Deck and it can be played without using mouse and keyboard.
