Verify game cache & restart windows
Steam Library
select: HoneySelect2 [press right mouse button]
from the drop down menu
select: Properties
from the pop up menu
select: Local Files
select: Verify integrity of game files
allow steam to verify and replace any files that are required
Important restart windows once this process has finished
Check to see if game launches as intended by the developer [*still same issue]
Open windows Control Panel
select: All Control Panel Items
select: Windows Defender Firewall
select: Allowed applications
scroll through the list and *ensure HoneySelect2 is listed
*if not
select: Change Settings
select: Allow another app... Browse to the install directory and add HoneySelect2.exe to the list
Note: If using third party anti-virus/security software then access the settings and create an exception for the HoneySelect2.exe and or the entire game folder in the same way.
Note: depending on the AV/SEC application used instructions will be available from the main developers website.
Check to see if game launches as intended by the developer [**still same issue]
**Next try reinstall VC++ and DirectX

Delete the following applications from windows "Apps & features":
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistrabutable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistrabutable (x64)
restart windows and reinstall from- :\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist
VCredist 2010\vcredist_x64.exe
VCredist 2012\vcredist_x64.exe
or
from Windows "Apps & features" select the following applications to delete and Note: choose the option to *repair these applications and restart windows
*Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistrabutable (x64)
*Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistrabutable (x64)

Reinstall DirectX from this file location
:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.exe Run this application from this folder and restart windows
