Windows 10: slowness and lots of pink

Ever since I got windows 10, D2E hasn't been working well. The first selection screen is super slow (the cursor is slow) and when I get into the game, it's slow. If I alt-tab and go back into the game, it speeds up, but is OVERRUN with pink; it's just unplayable. Can anyone help me? I love this game so much and I'd hate to just let it go because of stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this.

I fixed it. Go Program Files > Strategy First > Disciples 2 > ConfigEditor

Windows 10? Start>File Explorer>This PC>(harddrive, Usually C)>Program Files.

This actually solved some of the problems mentioned above except for the smaller resolution. I would prefer to use a bigger screen though if at all possible.

Using the configuration editor worked for me. I have the game installed on an older laptop (running Windows 10) and there some incredibly high frame rate drops. After enabling the 'Direct3D' option everything started working smoothly.
