I never thought about AoE with undeads and clans! This seems quite intentional to balance the races in this way. Mountain Clans have many ways to get AoE later on though, almost every unit can! Warriors can become mountaineers, crossbowmen can become flame casters and Rock giants can become Tempest giants, which is one of my favorite thing in single player games. Just starting up with a strong single-target army, but progressing into a full AoE army which just destroys everything.
How and where do you play PvP, I must ask?
Main demon problem in my opinion is that they just too predictable. Dew to gargoyle dominance it is most likely that demons party will be 2 gargs+mage hero+incubus/succubus. And most likely it will be incubus dew to mind immunities are kinda not that rare at least compared to earth one
