Hero mages miss with 100 % chance to hit
So guys as u might now mage heroes (all of them ) miss quite frequently on 6 targets with 100 % accuracy.I have done some testing and sometimes they miss like 4-5 times in a row like minimum 2 targets from 6 total.(unreal !).I read on some other damn forums that they somehow fixed this through a modification.
This guy here https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/913805-disciples-ii-dark-prophecy/75061846
He clearly says that he somehow solved it through "executable".He doesnt really specify how he did it which is quite sad.
What do u guys know about this .. ?

High difficulties apply a hidden penalty to your hit chance.

Yeah i heard about that too.Do you somehow know what to do in order to reverse that .. ?
In the link i posted, that guy says something about the units ID but i just dont get it.I am trying to use a DBF editor to reverse it.No luck so far.
TESTED: Just recently tested it with EASY difficulty. I still miss allot even with 100 % chance !
What the Fhhk? ..?

SOLVED
Use a hex editor. Then replace the corresponding unit IDS ( G000UU0021 is for the ArchMage for example) of the mage heroes.Use the search engine for this.Or G000uu0097 or 98 for the undead nosferat and lich queen.Replace those decimals with '00'
For example: you will have for the Archmage something like this : 47 30 30 30 55 and so forth.
Change those to '00 00 00 00 00' as many times as necessary.WHen you will type the '0' on the keyboard you will observe that on the right side of that image your typing of zeroes ( 0) will remove that unit ID and it will become like this " . . . . . . . .".That is the signal that you are doing fine.
VERY IMPORTANT: Replace the decimals with zeroes JUST for THE UNIT ID ! dont overdo it ! dont go PAST the UNIT ID ! it will Fricking crash so hard damn it.
Taken from russian sites.
Meanwhile in russia Putin ..
Have fun !

i was told all AOE attacks have a stacking miss chance. So its 100% for first target and -%5 for each other target. This does not show up in stats.

No.I tested it for allot of aoe hits.If it says 100 %, then it really really is 100 %.Mage heroes on the other hand as i have said were changed on rise of the elves for these class units(all mage heroes and the undead NOSFERATU as he is still classified as a mage).

Aoe chance to hit decreases with every target. So you hit only one with 100% chance.

Only heroes? I think even front warriors miss more than in early versions (in campaign on VHard), no?

I have not tested front warriors so i can't really tell you if there's any difference. I dont really recall missing with any front warriors at all with 100 %.
