Btw, again, Gallean's Return in some variations (not even one) released in 2003 before Rise of the Elves.
Tnx man!
Disciples 2 come in January '02 wnd extended version Gallean's Return released at summer '03 before ROTE.
ROTE obviosly go last, as released last. Also, read manuals - it have canonical conclusions. But do not read ROTE manual or ROTE section of Gold manual. By the way there is spoiler warning insside ROTE plot sections warn not read them until you finish Dark Prophecy first, Galleans Return sefond _ and ROTE third.
The Alliance Crusade mini-campaign as DLC released at the very end of '05.
It have no direct connections to base ROTE story.
ROTE story although direct continuation of GR events not follow them next afterwards. Some time goes. Not so many, or many - unknown. Some time goes after GR for sure.
DLC campaign probably goes after ROTE but many many times left then. At start The Empire and The Elven Alliance allies.
Unique of this scenario it is also entirely singleplayer (or coop) - both faction do same goal to keep Drega Zul alive.
As i remember it is all unique scenarios for D2. And none of ROTE new maps including all Gold/DLCs have any such scenarios.
All other maps are SP Skirmish or MP (although there is a bit of stories in each you can skip its dialogues). Those maps - Drega Zul, Tutorial, Impire, Vaglan -1/2 - is SP or COOP only and unplayable as Skirmish/MP-Skirmish maps.
Analogue of Vaglan is Divine Empire 21 episodes in Disciples 1 (plus Tutorial).
There is a way to convert GR campaigns into custom sagas 98% closer to original. Or less. In way os converted custom saga there is no intro for it. But it is just repeated-reminded outros of base campaigns which can be seen in ROTE.
Those experiments only for someone who already played as intended - Disciples 2 Gallean' Return first.
