How do you get more research slots?

Can't remember if i asked before, or not, but how (if there is a way) do you get more research slots? I feel like I've had the ORIGINAL 3 forever and it takes sooo long to do anything and then I have to remove stuff because i need to do something else thats more important, and then can't find the stuff to restart it lol. Probably just me issues but Do you ever unlock more slots?!

Yep you can unlock more slots!

One of the first slots unlock when you complete the first Woods Cave Puzzle, which is the first room you find in the caves in the Woods with five pedestals. You'll be able to complete it with materials you find by the end of your first Spring. Another way to do get an extra slot is reaching Research Rank 2 by submitting 2 books to the Archive!

Depending on how you play and which part of the game you are at, you can try to focus on books requiring fewer scrolls (e.g. under the Creatures shelf in the Violet Archive, Nocturnal Creatures Vol. II only requires one scroll to complete the book). When you rank up, you get rewarded with different items and access to new features too!
