Pumouse

Wiki says that it can be found on levels 21 to 39, i.e. the sandy caves. But I've been through them five times or so and only found the dung beetle. Is it only on special floors that I've never envountered (like the weedip in the previous floors), or only on certain conditions (season, time of day, weather)?
