This style of puzzle (the five compartments with various objects inside) can be solved by object type and by color.

I was struggeling too finally i found the solution, you need to do by their types. Probably, you are missing dividing nails. Put longer and shorter ones apart and ta-da u r done.:steamhappy:

You are correct that the sorting is A) by color and B) by type, for this puzzle type.
But note that we all get different variations of the Daily - within the same daily theme. So the specific objects in OPs Daily Puzzle are highly unlikely to be the same as in yours.
It's a useful thing to have in mind when trying to help people :-)

Oh I didn't know that! Thats very interesting :D I had one with different rocks and pencils, but there were only 4 types of rocks, with one type having twice as many items as the other items (e.g. there were 10 striped rocks, but all the other types had only 5). It was very confusing but it was only my second day in a row so i don't mind losing the streak over that one :D

The rock thing is something quite a few people have felt stumped by, yes, so you're not the only one :-) They aren't actually all identical, but 2 sets (of five each), that are very close in detail. Usually it's a slight difference in size betweeen the 2 sets, but can also be slight difference in patterning, or in jaggedness. Things like that. And sometimes colour shades can be very similar too.

Oh - and just a general tip:
That if you're having trouble with a Daily Tidy, that goes further than just not being sure of the solving principles for the puzzle type. Then your best bet is to post a screenshot of your puzzle.
As otherwise it can be very difficult - or straightout impossible - for others to help out.
Precisely because we all get different variations within the theme.

Best wishes for your streak going forwards :-)

Ah the size! That totally escaped my thinking, i wasn't even paying attention to it! Damn, very tricky :D

I will definitely take the screenshot route from now on, thank you very much for the insightful help!
