Impossible Daily Tidy
For today's tidy, I have a calendar with stickers (battery, cat, snowflake, square, noodle, scribble, pawprint, and floppy disc) where there seems to be a correct solution, but it will not register.

I've placed several different stickers on every square on the calendar to see if I was just getting it wrong and there wasn't a single sound queue that they were correct.

Anyone else having this problem? It seems like a bug.

Have you looked at the How-to and step-by-step guide for this Daily Tidy type?

It explains the principles and what youu need to do.

Just trying things blindly/randomly is not going to give you the solution to this puzzle type.

Also, I'm pretty sure there isn't a 'sound cue' to this puzzle,

Yes, I've solved these before. I also tried to place one type of sticker on every space on the calendar, but it does not indicate the sticker as being correct on any space.

On every sticker puzzle I've done in this game, there is a sound queue when I place it on the correct square.

If you're pretty sure you've understood how to solve this puzzle type - and that you've done "everything right":
Then post 2 screenshots of (1) your starting picture and (2) of how you've put things in what you think is correct pattern.
Difficult to help you otherwise - as we get different variations here.

How do I add screenshots on here?

I just doublechecked this on mine just now - and my Daily Tidy Calendar does NOT give any sound cue for correct placement. So if you've had that before - maybe smth changed on that, I dunno....
But the Daily Tidy works without it - well, for me it does anyway.

Might of course be a bug - nothing's certain proof not ;-)

But if you post us a couple of screenshots, maybe there's some small detail you've overlooked and a fresh pair of eyes might catch for you :-)

you can look at the Steam help for that if you've never done it before?

Basically - press the Steam screenshot key (whatever you use, there's a default setting or you may have designated one yourself), then upload it (Steam will trigger that for you when you exit the game) and make sure it's labelled as 'Public'. And then there's a URL you can copy in, or alternatives like a share share option under the settings... Then copy/paste in the link here.
Something like that anyway - I don't have all this in my head, sorry

I figured it out! For me, the main game has sound cues for correct placement on the sticker calendars, so I was expecting the Daily Tidy to have the same feature. I wonder why it doesn't?

I just replayed my sticker chapter to make sure I wasn't going crazy and sure enough there were those cute little pings I remembered
oldladygreybun Feb 22, 2024 @ 12:55pm
ah - well there differences between the main game and the Daily Tidies
I can see how that could confuse/frustrate .

Did you manage to get the Daily solved then? Or are you still looking for a bit of help?
Yup, I got it solved! Thanks anyway!

Great :-)

I just remembered that devs have mentioned smth about this point earlier (in connection with a question here in Discussions from someone asking about hearing impairment accessability). Devs said they put in a confirmation sound cue (a 'ping') in early levels in the main game, as extra help, but not as an essential to solving. In later levels in the main game there is no sound cue.

And as far as I can recall, there are no sound cues in the Daily Tidy puzzles.
So they have to be solved by pattern recognition / puzzle logic alone.

Hope you're having fun with the game :-)
