Divide it evenly in two,
Separate by species.

First: Sort by their kinds:lollipop、worm-like、teeth-like,etc. (第一种: 按糖的种类分,每种一堆 ) Second: Every kind candies are even numbers, just evenly sort them into two piles, let out the color of worm-like candies! (第二种,每种糖都是 偶数,按数量平均分成两堆,长条状的糖颜色没有关系

I tried this now 4 times and it doesn't work. I got the separate by type to work after 3 tries, but the divide in 2 just doesn't do anything at all.

It is way too finicky, which makes it frustrating and not fun. I can not remember having trouble like this with any of the other ones. Its like this one wasn't properly tested. I have wasted close to 40 minutes to get it to work and it just doesn't want to work.

Edit: Ok, so they should be put in 2 literal piles in opposite corners. Don't bother separating them by type because it doesn't count. This is the first time I can remember not having to sort anything out and just pile it up. It goes completely against everything I have learned about the game but whatever. I hated this one.

Could foiks use Spoiler text to hide spoilers, perhaps?

I assume only people wanting to know answers check these kind of threads, but I have now added spoiler tags just in case.

while I certainly don't disagree, once I got the the two piles made it reminded me of splitting the candy's with my sister.

thanks for the help, I was a hard one indeed.

Yes, I can certainly see that and I understand what they were going for (I don't necessarily have a problem with the idea). It was just too fiddly for me, which made it frustrating and annoying. I split everything to the left and right side of the table and the bottom and top side of the table multiple times and it didn't count for some reason. I even tried to mirror everything perfectly.

I typically do these daily challenges in a couple of minutes and this one took me close to 45 minutes (I had to restart 2 times to make the other option work as well), which I honestly don't have the time for. That said, I did enjoy the 2 previous entries and to be fair I am not that much of a Halloween person (not being from the US), so I might miss the correct mindset for this one.

i agree with what you did, thats what got me the stars too. tbh this was the most difficult puzzle for me

As someone from a non-Halloween country dividing the pile for two kids just never crossed my mind. And the puzzle doesn't give you any of the usual symmetry hints. There are no snapping points, no 'there's two of every kind but the centerpieces', no patterns to match, etc.. I sincerely had no idea where to even start on this. :/

This evoked some childhood angst in me since the way I did it one party got the lovely red, orange and yellow gummies, while the other had to have the green, black and grey/blue ones and that took me right back to younger sibling jelly baby politics.

I've tried the separate by type a bunch of times now in various layouts until it finally clicked.
monica_yura Oct 29, 2023 @ 3:04am
Mine clicked once i made all the candies within each pile touch
Yeah, the detection for this one is annoying. For both solutions I had to fiddle with placement until it worked.

i swear i did these last night when it came out but nothing worked!

As someone who grew with Halloween, it doesn't make sense here either.
Each child collects their own candy in their own container. So there's no reason to split it up like this. It's already split.
