Baba is You + Tunic is the best description I can give. Lots of freedom and tons of really satisfying puzzles, as well as some free-form exploration and discovery of new mechanics. Very little new "skills" are learned. The game is very much a knowledge metroidvania akin to Tunic / Outer Wilds, while also being a difficult puzzle game like Baba is You, and I really love it for that. I hope the developers continue to add puzzles and mechanics, but as-is it is a very satisfying 10-20 hours of puzzle content.

Real fun, quite the surprise this was!
A game about finding bunnies in burrows. Lots of them.
But like, seriously, lots of them.
Baby bunnies included.
If you think catching all of them is the end, think again.
The rabbit hole goes -deep- and when I say deep I mean think-outside-the-bun-burrow deep.

In fact, there's so many, that even the initial letters of the previous paragraph spell "Rabbit."

But in all seriousness, this game surprised me. It's a relatively simple pathfinding puzzle game where you need to collect bunnies that keep trying to escape from you. The further you go, the harder the puzzles, and soon enough you realize that there's WAY WAY WAY more to the game than it initially lets on. It bites your brain like a bun devouring a carrot.
And I love when a game does that to me.

Paquerette has to be one of the most clever puzzle games I've played in the past decade. Underneath the simple premise, you'll find some deceptively complex puzzles and metapuzzle elements similar to those you'll find in Baba is You or Void Stranger. While Baba was far too difficult for me to approach and Void Stranger was too abrasive in its game design, Paquerette strikes a pretty good balance between the puzzle difficulty and freedom to explore the dozens of secrets hidden around the game. Don't get me wrong though, this game is still really hard. Like, stupidly hard, especially towards the later levels.

I got to the credits, capturing almost every main level bunny, and I found out that I had barely even scratched the surface of what this game has to offer. It's probably a little bit too insane for me, but if you're a fan of puzzle games with lots of hidden depth, I think this game will be right up your alley. Definitely recommend going into this one blind if you can.

Fantastic puzzle game. After an hour or so I thought it was ridiculously hard, then I realized a new way to think about puzzles, then I made a lot of progress. I got credits to roll and then checked and my save file was only at 30% - there's a lot here!

I don't think I'll ever get 100%, but even just going at it a little at a time there's an impressive number of secrets and surprises. The music and graphics are also wonderful.

Bunnies and puzzles is a recipe for success. It's SO much more than a simple puzzle game though. If you dig deeper, and deeper, and deeper.. it feels like it never bottoms out. The depth here and the feelings of breaking it (akin to something like Pony Island) is just incredible.
