Controller or Keyboard Mouse?

I've been playing with controller and going to try out KBM a bit more.

Anyone try both and have a preference? Have the devs started anywhere that it's designed with one or the other in mind?

We haven't stated either one to be the recommended one because we've designed the game from the ground up to work well with both.
I personally prefer KB+M! I'd be curious to hear if people feel like one is advantageous over the other.

I prefer keyboard and mouse, it's easier to aim.

Is there a hotswap option with KBM? That's the only benefit to controller I've found, plays great on both.

If you have "Controller hot swapping" toggled on in the Settings, it automatically hotswaps your controller between any gamepad or the KB+M when you press any key. Mind you that this only works on singleplayer.

Edit: I realize that it may be a bit confusing that in the in-game menus we use the word "controller" to refer to both gamepads and KB+M. We consider KB+M just another type of "controller".

Ah, I see what you mean. You can quick swap between weapons and gadgets on KB+M with the number keys 1, 2 and 3 similarly to how you use the D-pad on a gamepad.

That's something that we've wanted to tutorialize in the game for a while now... The game doesn't give the slightest hint to the player that you can do that, so it's not your fault :D

Controller works great, but I'm loving KBM for aiming now. Good work making both super playable, Dev!
