For battles in general, Hero by Chance II receives a much bigger upgrade than Warlord by Chance.
There are now deployable Heroines on the battlefield. Before, you can only use the ladies' strategic skills. Now, you can deploy them to fight as individual units that have their unique combat skills on the battleground.
In terms of units, some special units will have branching after level 10. For example, you can equip items to your level 10 cavalry to become either long-spear or sword-shield cavalry. In addition, Hero by Chance II features new types of units such as War Elephants, Archer Camel Cavalry with their own unique abilities, etc.
For battle types, there is now the new exciting siege battle that has new gameplay mechanics and siege equipment. Ambush also receives new extra mechanics to make it feel fresher.
Plus, the story also sees a significant upgrade in terms of backstory, and characteristics for you to explore. There is a much bigger drama this time around.
