Chapter 9 hard lock

So I went through the game until I found the bomb stamp and the Sword again.
Then there is this part where you need to throw the sort to the light bulb so the laser gets disabled.
I didn't do that. Instead, I progressed through the sneak section with the bugs where you get the scroll and get teleported back down. The bookworm tells me to go get everything but I cannot since there is no teleportation back to the top. And I cannot reach the rest of the stage.
Normally you need to run to the right and go inside the page next to the mini moonbeard, but it isn't available anymore.

I'm having the same issue and I cant progress now :( I hope this gets fixed soon.
