Bug?
At some point I fell through the floor from the computer, and I would just think thats a part of the game, but I can't do anything, not even pause the game, so im asking if its a bug?

That sounds like a bug...
Can you zip up all the files in your C:\Users\ [ your username ]\AppData\LocalLow\Belief Engine\DEAD LETTER DEPT folder, and send them to us?

(if you're on Linux, I think it's home/[ username ] /.config/unity3d/Belief Engine/DEAD LETTER DEPT/ )

You can use this dropbox upload request to send it (just give it some fake email or something if it tries to force you to enter one)

I'm having a similar issue, I sent the .zip to that link as well.

For more detail, it's happening on the night where no doors appear in the hallway just prior to entering the computer room.

It's happened twice in a row, after the same scene; A black and red photo of what looks like a cage? And flipping the mail causes the image to zoom in towards the cage. After a couple zooms, the computer shorts, my character appears to try and stand up/back away from the computer, but I clip through the floor, ending up in a dark place with three vertical red lights. After a few moments, there's some thumping, then silence..

While I'm down there, I'm fully softlocked; I can turn (and turning the camera quickly causes some visual distortion), but cannot move or even pause the game.

It was fine when I alt+f4'd and redid the day. The timer portion ended and I got up from my chair as normal.

Ok, thank you both. It's definitely some sort of glitch.
I'm on the case. Thank you A_Bear for providing the zip.

Lol I got the same glitch, thought it was a puzzle for a second. Ah well

Oh man, well this is gonna drive me crazy I can already tell.

There seems to be some sort of random chance circumstance here involved that is triggering whatever is possibly causing this. If anyone else encounters this, the more details you can give me the more I can try and whittle down where it might be coming from.

If you send me logs via that dropbox link, try and make sure they are fresh from the playthrough that just happened.
I got that exact same glitch in that exact same scenario but there's more to it if you stay long enough. I don't have any logs but I can describe the situation more thoroughly.

As said, it starts with falling through the floor after the character attempts to stand up, and it indeed is on the day with no doors in the work hallway and a lot of fog in the apartment building hallways. Upon landing, there are three vertical lights on the far side of the room as said, but if you spend enough time looking around, then the opposite side of the room has a row of big square panels. They're not quite doors but they're also not a wall, almost like storage unit doors? Aside from that it's pure black and while the mouse works, the keyboard is entirely unresponsive.

What's weirdest is I haven't seen anything that looks like that area except in that situation, and the second time I went through I also did not encounter it at all. I'm wondering if the issue isn't that you're falling into the room but more that there's supposed to be a sequence that triggers when you do that isn't?

EDIT: so the three vertical lights appear to exactly match the three lit up windows that can be seen from the bridge upon exiting the apartment on that same night on the right side. Is there a connection?

Do you know if you 'fell through the world' (as in you literally can see the computer but a second but you're just dropping downwards)?
Or were you typing, finished and letter, and then suddenly the typing segment ended you were now in this weird void?

For me, I think I finished the timer segment of that day, then when it started the "get up out of chair" animation(?), and then I actually fell downward into a void.

Do you remember if you had walked into the giant circle pit for this particular typing session?

I'm going to be just playing this part of the game over and over today trying to get it to repro.

But in the meantime, in the latest update (1.0.2), I put in a "safety net" to try and catch you from whatever the hell might be happening here and plop you back into the room. Anyone reading this, lmk if you encountered that (and if it worked)

Just hit the same glitch. I believe when my character stood up after finishing all assigned queue items (before the timer ran out) is when I fell through the floor. The area where I'm soft-locked has the wall of metal "doors" and 3 vertical lights others mentioned. It seems almost like a very dark version of the chain-link fence walkway you walk across when leaving the apartment. There's also a computer on a desk, which I can see has the green "end of queue/day" message, that starts strobing faster and faster (maybe to the beat of the subway speeding up, as I can also hear some "dings" mixed in there?). This void area seems to "reset" once the subway cycle finishes speeding up, as it drops me through the floor back into the same softlocked area after that, then repeats..

I'll grab a .zip file of my folder and send it your way. Hope it helps, and good luck! It's been a fun game so far!
Just curious, are the crashes to desktop at certain points intentional?

Yes. There are two endings that do this

Ok, interesting. That gives me a clue for something new to try at least. Do you know if you were like, down to the wire in terms of running out of time? I'm gonna take a look at the logs you sent now. THANK YOU!

EDIT: I REPRODUCED IT THANK @#$%! The logs were a big help, I know exactly what stupid thing is causing this now. THANK YOU. I'm working on an update immediately.
