Where are the characters from the demo?

At the end of the demo there were a lot of characters shown off and said to be coming in the full game (Robot, dog, skeleton knight, squid man, executioner, etc) but the full game has barely any of them! Really disappointing.

Very weird, considering that this game have veen developed for 10 years. It's really odd that despite this, it still seems unfinished.

Romeo isn't in the game either, and Juliet just shows up randomly in the Werewolf level and nowhere else. This is despite Romeo and Juliet literally being in the centre of the game's cover (which also contains other cut characters such as god, the devil and an actual dragon that isn't somebody in a costume)

They even cut out Adam and Eve level, which was present in demo and was completely fine. Like WTF happened to this game? I'd like Daniel Benmergui to finally shed some light on how the development of this game went for the past 2 years, because clearly something bad must have happened around this time.

Just in case the devs don't do it themselves, I'm going to see if I can mod in some kind of level editor, and then maybe the community can make some characters for themselves. It will be tricky though because almost everything is hardcoded, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

More than the characters, some game mechanics are missing. Remember the level with time ripple effect (seed turning into tree). Also gone :(

Not more, but it had a few levels that had been cut from the full release for unknown reasons.

Actually, it did, by virtue of having more sandboxy puzzles, the jester challenges...and there are more than a few puzzles missing in entirety, or partially.

Most of the puzzles missing were the small ones (3 or 4 tiles), one of the bigger ones that is not preset is Adam and Eve one, which is weird, but i don't remember more. As for jester challenges, I find it very weird how is it possible that people don't notice that the circle challenges that pop up in some levels are essentially THE SAME as jester ones... like, how can you not notice it. As for sandboxy puzzles, you have a point, there were at least a few of those in the demo. I am aware that there is A LOT of content cut from the final release (especially that after finishing demo, you could see some characters that were said to appear in the full game, but aren't there), but I think that many things from the demo weren't really cut, but rather changed in one way or another, with a few exceptions of course. Well, the jester puzzles were unlocked after clearing the main puzzles, for one. For two, there were more of them, and I remember many being harder or sillier than the circle challenges here. I ended up getting circle challenges on my first solve half the time.
