Favorite Boss? (Spoilers obvi)
I really enjoyed the witch in the forest, though she was really frustrating. However, I would say the old lady with the rake was my absolute favorite because she ACTUALLY terrified me.

I didn't like the swamp witch :/ I'm not sure why, but I honestly think I beat her by dumb luck. Every time I figured I knew her mechanic, it wouldn't work... though, my computer was having trouble with the game, and I did run into a few bugs so maybe that was why...

I've already beaten the forest witch, and so far I've liked all the bosses.

I had no issue with the swamp witch... Had major issues with the forest witch though. I would randomly lose control of my character or he would get stuck inputting the last command. The controller wasn't disconnecting or anything just at random intervals I couldn't do any thing for like 5-10 seconds mostly resulting in my death. Think the devs put that bug in there on purpose so we would spend more time appreciating her 3D model haha!

Yeah, the forest witch took me many tries as well. It did feel like the game made up its own mind that I got hit even when I'm not in like of fire. Or didn't register the hits to the bodies or herself.

I also guess the devs wanted us to admire her more. Since she is on the cover.
I guess this part bewitched us all. We fell for her and couldn't escape.

I'm a bit torn between the Näcken and the Shapeshifter in the forest. The Näcken fight was basically a platformer/chase scene but I loved the way it was build. The Shapeshifter fight felt more like a traditional bossbattle which I enjoyed.

The Rakelady freaked me out at first as well, but then I got annoyed real quick because I never got the time to line up a shot. That one took me a loooooong time to complete because of it. The "omnomnomnom" moment during the battle did make me laugh out loud though. After that it no longer felt scary to me :P.

The Mountain King was also another "true" bossfight and had the most perfect theme ("In The Hall Of The Mountain King"). He was mostly "meh" but the music was perfect XD.

If the swamp witch is the skull lady in the actual swamp, then yeah that was pretty do-able. I see her more of a mini-boss though and don't count her into the big ones. The Näcken and forest ladie both had amazing designs and backgroundstories and the pesta with the rake was 20 out of 10 hhhhorrifying. The mace attack of the king felt a bit unfair because it was a double attack and I could've sworn it predicted where I'd go. Hard to say which was my favorite. They all had their frustrating moments, but looking back, they were quite fun.

the forest witch is my favorite one. her chants, the various attacks and parts are pretty thrilling. after playing it again, she became really easy to deal with. the rest, im rather neutral towards but generally had a good time.
the rake lady is just creepy as hell but a bit frustrating as i think its longer than it should be.
Honestly hard to say. Each boss was pretty fun in their own way, I was very much terrified of the Rake woman, per the above comment though once the omnomnom happened all terror disappeared and I found them more funny after that.

I think the Mountain King over all was my favorite in terms of mechanics and music

Mountain King, especially with the intro when he gobbles down the victims and the mechanics were fun.

The music was what made it fun for me

Not just the music, but the way the falling rocks were perfectly in line with the music was amazing

The King! Because not only if his music EPIC but he seems to be synced to it and I just Humm along and job my head with his attacks. I also love the subtle way he glances where he's about to hit when he does a feint. I wanted the fight to last longer, maybe even speed up once more. Him doing the smashing blast to soft-cue the next phase and the song spewing up was just... UNF! *Chef's kiss*

Skogsrå felt like a proper boss fight also with great music.

Näcken's whole section was pure fun and my favorite to replay, again also adore his song.

Then Pesta was also super fun because of the way the fight plays out. I love those kind of boss battles that abuse the background/foreground and almost feels 3D.

Really, Kärrhäxan was the most underwhelming to me. She was creepy and the whole area was all about horror and she jumps out suddenly and screeching but compared to every other fight, even if butcher, just felt very simple and tame.

I loved how this game made every encounter so very unique and fun that I kinda wish for a boss rush of sorts or chapter points closer to the actual fights instead of having to go through the whole chapter.

Rake Grandma then King

My first encounter with the butcher I just froze not knowing what to do and poor Olle ended up getting splattered by his cleaver.

Näcken's whole Pied Piper vibe was quite fun. Loved the platforming and the timing needed to use the boulders as cover.

The Shapeshifter was more shocking with how it ended.

My favourite though would have to be the Mountain King. Loved the little princling outfit and the music was epic. Once you realise the attacks are in synch with the music you can almost dance your way through the fight.

Pesta was a close second. The way she appears behind Olle as he is rowing is so creepy. The fight is both creepy and fun somehow.

I really appreciated how Näcken as a boss was more about survival than actually fighting him. And yes, the Mountain King's music was just so perfect.

Pesta was absolutely terrifying--the very first time she ate me, it was a total "OMG WTF" moment. I did like the lore behind the encounter, though, how it was more a mental battle than anything else--you can see how Pesta's beginning to grow weary or look like she's in pain between the encounters, which was a great touch to explain what was going on.

The Shapeshifter I enjoyed as far as mechanics go, but needless to say (just look at my name) it was a little bittersweet for me personally--why must the pretty woodland satyr lady be our enemy that we have to kill off? :steamsad:
