Solaris started out as a clone of NP mashed with elements from a mobile game called Subterfuge. The aim of the project was to use NP as a base and apply new features, game modes and ideas.
Over the past few months Solaris has started to migrate away from its roots and have its own identity, we're constantly adding new features and implementing suggestions from the community.
Both games are very similar but Solaris is NP, but more. I'd say NP is better if you're looking for simplicity, Solaris is more complex but the outcome is more variety in games, strategies and outcomes.
I invite you to come and discuss your thoughts on the game on the Discord: https://discord.com/invite/v7PD33d
