Hello,

It is a goal to make the game available in English but it still needs to be discussed internally to decide whether the priority goes to an English translation or a Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Well in my humble opinion, either one could help pay for the other, but a translation here might get more money quicker, and also lead to more money if it has both languages when you wanted to bring it to Switch. Just a thought

Why wouldn't you have english language by the time you release? You will never again get that much attention for your game (and I would assume that most french speak english, but only a very low % of english speakers speak french).

Well, the game is based around a french show so the target group is mostly (if not only) french-speaking which doesn't make it so unreasonable to release in french and possibly develop an English version afterward.

The first language is french because the web-serie from which it comes is french (and the autor Fabien Fournier and all his team are french or french speaker). And let be honnest, the audience of the web-serie is mainly french by far.

When the team launched the crowdfunding (via Ulule) three years ago, the target was these fans (and contributors) so it wasn't a question at this moment, it was natural the game was in french. And furthermore, even a release on Steam wasn't planned because we thought that nobody would be interested outside of the community.

And this thread prove that statement is wrong. :')

Personnally, I think that a smart move would be first to translate the game in english and then release it on Switch.
But I'm not the one who decides and actually the main priority is the bugfix.

For me it's a no brainer that you need to do the english version first then the Switch version after.

Because a switch game with an english version gonna help you more with the game i think :)

As a future translator, I wanted to say that translating this game would take months and would be extremely difficult, as all the puns and easter eggs need to be adapted for an English-speaking public. It would probably end up costing a lot, which might not be worth the risk.

If you wanna a good english/yournativelanguage translation, translate it yourself as many other game community: make a shared google doc with few fans and let's move this thing.

(It was made for the great Stardew Valley). And maybe the french ppl could help too. Just create a special thread for it like :

Good things around the world are shared like that, with free translations/subtitles.

In Steam community, most of the time, the names of the contributors are added to the credits. Why not here? Noob is the most famous community story in our country....

A special section for translations should be added to this forum o/
To avoid too much spoilers, the transaltion could be made part after part, the previous part retired/closed.
