Also, even if I did, how does this excuse the game getting delisted? I've encountered so many people on Steam with your condescending attitude it's unbelievable to me.
Original game trailer 2018 looks almost identical to this new version so what happened or what changed?

They are also promoting another kickstarter title already before this new Deiland version is even out.

Sure they can be working on multiple games, many studios do but to remove an almost identical game from the store just seems odd or like they are covering something up.
if you own the original, why buy/play this one. the art for the characters have changed a tiny bit (i liked the original better), everything seems watered down.
edit: just saw the link for the original owners to get pocket edition for free when released, because of publishers or something?
From what I understand, we are either getting more or the same as the original version with content. The big deal here is the original game had very game breaking bugs to the point some could not complete the game. I myself had to fiddle with a game file after someone explained how to fix the bug. More or less people were getting stuck in the quest lines because an item was not dropping in spite of the game saying it had.
So the theory old owners are hoping for is this edition fixes the previous bugs so everyone can enjoy it.
As for the link, that's because the developer and publisher parted ways and the form was so old owners could get a free copy of this new edition. The dev says they can't do it in the traditional way through steam itself due to the separation.

Unfortunately there's nothing indicating that they expanded the ridiculously short storyline that ended abruptly. As far as I can tell, aside from improved graphics and additional music, the only thing they improved and expanded was the sandbox elements.
From all I can see, this is not a new game, or even a "re-imagining" of the original game. It's just the original game with enough visual changes to make those of us who played it say, "Eh, it does look a bit different."
My guess? They de-listed the original so that less people would be aware of this probable scam.
Of course, Deiland had less than 10 hours of content, so it wouldn't be difficult to add a bit more. Still, this seems pretty scammy to me.
Is this the same version that came out on the Switch not too long ago? I watched a review on it; I thought it was a port of the original and figured the reviewer just missed some features because he really didn't seem into it, but being a different version might also explain it.
Edit: The trailer does show some of the features he didn't talk about, so I guess that's good? But other than the graphics, I'm having a hard time telling what's different from the original.
I only found out about Deiland being removed on steam store page when i was looking for how bad the reviews rating was on it.
Fingers crossed they fixed the gamebreaking bugs as well. Too many people literally could not make progress from them.
Yeah, I played a bit then just dropped it completely and have never felt any desire to play it again.
