I did in beta and it was rough - as a Unity game I think it eats resources for breakfast, so I had to set it to a lower graphics setting and it still kicked the fan on high the entire time - until I believe it crashed (though what doesn't on the Deck, in my experience at least) and it's not really controller friendly so it might also depend on your willingness and comfort with using the Deck's mouse style controls.

I played until about turn 30 on steam deck during beta. Load time was a slow. But after that I thought it played really well. And the controls worked good enough that I could do everything. Having ability to assign hotkeys to the buttons/rear would probably make it steam deck verified.
What about legibility

This is a bit of a subjective matter. For me most of the text is a bit small but readable. Tooltips are on the small side, but I don't have to squint my eyes to read them. The only thing I've noticed so far, where I'd say its definitely too small, is the list of towns in the city manager. There I'll have to put an effort in to decipher the names and numbers.

All in all I'd say its okayish and I really wouldn't mind if the text size would be a bit bigger.

Just an update - I bought it and have played for around 5 hours on steam deck. Smooth experience so far. The touchpad plays well. Only time I’ve had to use the steam keyboard is custom wizard name and for magic/gold transmutation. Happy I got it

Great love my deck :)
only thing is text size readable and being able to control it with the d pad or joy sticks...hate touch pads/screens or vert keyboard

I had no trouble with the interface and visibility, but it was crashing on me about every 15 minutes. Tried reducing settings and it still crashed. About 5 times in 2.5 hours of playing. Did not spend the time to troubleshoot though, if anyone else had to change settings?

How did you get the keyboard to work? I couldn't get the Wiz name inputted. I had to pop up the kb from the right-side menu...entered my name but it never appeared under the character like normal. It's probably operator error as usual but I must be missing something here. Otherwise, everything seemed to be working well.
