Didn't they make some balance changes? I thought I saw someone say orcs got some buffs/etc, so presumably other things would be changed as well.

Perhaps when you ask your parents to teach you some manners.
And you don´t paid for your classic - this can you buy here:

very well spoken

It's widely known that the original had a lot of weaknesses, didn't get some of the planned content, so it's a bit unfinished and unbalanced in many ways.

That was probably fixed somewhat with Caster of Magic, but this is largely the original.

If you want to see how messed up a game can be, check out what became of Knight and Honor 2.

It's really sad. If Muha Games had taken on the title it might not have been a 2 but a remake, but this company pays a lot of attention to the spirit of the game and goes into it with heart!

Hey there,

While 95% of the game is exactly as it was, balance wise, some really problematic abilities (incredibly powerful) were slightly cost adjusted. This was one of those.

Sorry about that :(

It happened during the original MoM's run as well: Channeller was originally a 1-point ability, then became a 2-point one. (Lo Pan ended up with an extra pick over all of the other wizards as a result.)

I see, i guess having only 1 unit in my starting city so i can't raise tax right away is just another thing of those 5% :(

No slider for alchemy so i always have to put in the number of gold i wanna exchange ?
Not cool

You can change the points cost of the different traits in the game source files. They're just plain text .XML files, so it's not too hard. Alchemy is the first entry in:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Master-Of-Magic\ExternalAssets\Database\DB_TRAIT.xml

Yeah i just did that, thanks for pointing this out. I feel bad for my outburst i waited so long for a successor of a game that does a carbon copy of the old mom that dosn't look like pixel art on modern screens. So my temprament was overtaking my reason when i wanted to play a certain build i enjoyed in the original and found myself short 1 point.

Remains to be seen what the AI will do when I meet my first wizard, I am happy with most of the stuff, including the "incredibly ugly UI", which I rather like :)
I would get rid of the columns of light on the map, though, they are a bit irritating.

why make people weak? make everyone strong! that is the fun way of balancing games.

We did include a way to give yourself additional picks, so you can still make a build as per the original game. It just affects your score, that's all.
