2 Rikers are indeed canon and not a bug
As I've seen quite a lot of people mope about something they thought to be a bug:
If you encounter 2 Rikers while playing Federation, one es "Riker" and the other as "Lt. William Riker" this is NOT a bug, this is probably the singlemost in-debth-fan-service-know-your-source-material-ever.

During TNG, Riker is, at first, unknowingly cloned due to a transporter malfunction, leading to 2 William T Rikers existing, one will become Commander Riker under Picard on the NCC-1701-D and the other one will stay at it's baseline rank of Lt. and live a completely different life until encountered during S6E24: Second Chances

Therefore, having 2 Rikers in the same timeline is not a bug but actually true ;)

I'm sure, lots of people already knew this but there's obviously a significant number of people playing or just watching Infinite that lack this knowledge ;)

I'd say changing it to "Will 'Nr. One' Riker" and keeping it at "Lt. William T. Riker" would be more fitting as lots of people wouldn't understand why there's a Thomas Riker with the same portrait xD

Yeah, except the other Riker is not *that* Riker so nice try there. I got my second Riker when I upgraded the Enterprise from D to E except it never upgraded and stayed the galaxy D even after doing the research project after the mission and that's when the other Riker spawned somehow and took command of the Enterprise and Picard just vanished without a trace. So I had one Riker commanding a normal fleet and the same exact Riker commanding the Enterprise D (which should have been E).

Keep huffing copium.

He pointed out an obvious bug that you assumed was a feature. Who's coping and touching grass hmm? Lol

It's a bug. Riker appears when Picard eats it, but the gale gives you a Riker before that. Thomas was a lower rank, and obviously came about differently.

Nah it's a bug - they're both red shirts in-game. Tom Riker was a yellow shirt - never became a command officer just joined the maquis.

Ho your Picard vanished? Mine died suddenly at 109 years which is strange for an ex LOcutus, and then suddenly he was replaced by a young 43 years old "Riker" at the helm of the Enterprise, while the "Wiliam T" one 73 years old was commanding his own fleet...

I am not sure that the picard_trait is required after the Locutus episode...
