Admiral with Picard trait?
How does one do the borg missions without jean luc? IF he died of old age how do i find someone with the "picard" trait. I've already dismissed a handful

i am simply amazed that there is a picard trait :D .... i mean how would that work for anyone else?? be bald and awesome?

It's gated behind having Jean Luc specifically, so if you don't do it soon enough, you don't get to at all. It should just be the current captain of the Enterprise, because sometimes that stuff gets put on the backburner, but I digress... just jump on those events ASAP, even though the end result is that Picard loses 10 years of life expectancy and you get further towards the End Game Crisis.

Well if anything this game gave me the unerasable idea of watching Star Trek TNG and in the middle of an Episode Jean Luc suddenly dies of old age. It is kinda hillarious. And then Data tries to safe him, but he also dies of old age in just the moment he reaches him

Same here, I think Picard is dead and how the can I do the mission now?

I'm currently trying to find the trait ID for Picard. Most of the Stellaris console commands work, just need its ID. :er_wave:

Poor mission design, not encouraging.

I don't know how people let that mission go for so long to the point Picard dies to be honest, but I get the point. It's the same as the Bajor thing, it's impossible to keep doing the story tree because Bajor gets integrated by the Cardassians...somehow. Surely it should work that the Cardassians keep these systems as vassals instead?

But yeah, why can't they fix it so someone else can take his place? It was possible in the mod this is based on that some other captain would taker Archer's place. The hero ship idea is really cool, but so far limited to the Ceritos and Enterprise. Why not have a few that cost influence or something?

There's lots of little things like this that kind of ruin the immersion and sometimes just makes me quit.

As it is a Story Mission Strategy game atm and not a SAND BOX GAME like Stellaris, you loose, when you fu the main mission ...
I missed the Bajoran Mission, so I have endless wars in my galaxy, but without Borgs :steammocking:
Maybe you have to survive until the END DATE to defeat the Borgs ?
In my game I have 3 stupid neighbors, who killing each other with ruined fleets and economy and I am sitting there and not allowed to attack anyone OR help anyone, because missed that Bajoran quests :steamhappy:

It isn't always clear, the mission just progresses when you scan it, but it didn't actually do anything until I surveyed the system it was in, then it kicked off a chain of events with Picard.

The problem is the game is so slow, both in terms of build/development, that you can just have units take forever just to get through surveying and other missions for the ENT tree, that you can easily lost track of time.

Well I found the trait names, however I am unsure if they will work.

They are listed in various "hornblower" files that are mixed in with a lot of the Stellaris basic trait lists. There are more but you can find them yourself if you want to dig deeper it's here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Infinite\common\traits

leader_trait_picard
leader_trait_worf
leader_trait_deanna_troi
leader_trait_klingon_leader
leader_trait_romulan_leader
leader_trait_cardassian_leader
leader_trait_hivemind_scar
admiral_trait_bold_admiral
leader_trait_garak
leader_trait_pathologist
leader_trait_advocate
leader_trait_diseased
leader_trait_hugh
leader_trait_janeway

I haven't tried yet to see if these actually do anything. I'll let you know later or if someone has time before I do.
