Borg event chain broken?

here's the situation: I found a borg cube around a highway node and defeated it. Janeway appeared afterwards. The mission is still active though. It tells me to scan the mysterious thing and the progress tells me: 1/1. So the event should be resolved, right? Instead, the borg cube just sits there, doesn't move, doesn't attack and cannot be attacked, or scanned. By the time Picard, Janeway, Worf and even Data died. So how can I proceed in this mission chain? I enabled debug mode to check the event's ID: borg_crisis_mid_1
I hope there is a way to proceed without having to start a new game...

In my game, where I play as Cardassian, I had this happen to me as well, except that noone died from old age. However it did take several years before the chain started again by itself. The mysterious cube is still 1/1 for me as well, however I believe it will stay that way until the event chain is completed.

so how do I complete the event chain?

I have not completed the event chain yet, im still in the event chain, but it does seem to take many years before it progresses to next step by itself.

year 2455 for me already. All heroes died of old age (Janeway, Picard) or in battle :/

I have a similar issue. Playing with UFOP I didn't do the early borg qeust directly, instead i waited till i colonized half the system :D

Afterwards, Picard was already dead i finished the mission and it got stucked -.- so the borg never appeared and we had a peacefully conquered univere :D

Pls fix the Missions!
