Pirates roaming all the time
so not sure if anybody else is having that as I think its annoying as hell, that first of all there is no line system like in stellaris and enemy ships can go anywhere they want through my systems, and secondly that pirates use that to travel through my systems to like one system with a not fully outbuild starbase and just ♥♥♥♥ it up with a 2k strength while until you get level 3-4 starbase its not nearly competition and that you have to do that ON EVERY SINGLE SYSTEM you own or its gone as they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ delete it away lol

Yeah the Nausicaans are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to deal with, I need like 3 fleets on standby to intercept their constant 2k fleets invading.

The worst part is: The damn dreadnaught spawned outside my warp range, so it took me ages to expand in that direction before I could defeat it.

Once you defeat the dreadnaught the attack pauses, it will resume later down the line with a second dreadnaught though.

Yeah this seems like some sort of random event, pointless and lazy game development that somehow replaces the much better piracy along trade lanes that Stellaris has
. Should have the option to turn it off.

How do you find their dread????

They had a dreadnaught? In my Romulan game, they had a hold of 3 star systems.

Its "Fun" how they have no warp drive range limit, they just go where ever they want

Begin early with building starbases type 2 in your systems and have two 20/20 fleets at your homebase. when they invade, wait until they attack one of your starbases. Then send your two fleets and destroy them. Otherwise they will jump into another system.

in my games so far they only catched one system and left my systems instantly

There is a "no pirat" mod, available in the first mods posted.

Seems like different people have different tast of what a game shoud include and what not / or how strong pirates shoud be / or not be.

I could understand if they destroy the mining stations and such and the base like in stellaris that its on 0 hp but not completely destroy it because otherwise with a planet in it they also erase that lol PLUS i don't see why I should build up in EVERY single non important system a base to the max with stuff just to avoid losing it and paying again influence to get it....

In my game I found the Nausicaan system where I guess they originate from, 20 or something 2k fleets that only keep growing.

What's nteresting, it's not a system with any bases, it's not marked as owned by them. It's just an ever growing nest of ships.

When I built up and came back with stronger fleets (5x15k fleets with max tech) they wiped the floor with me without any losses, there were more than 30 4k fleets in there at that time.

I wonder if it was a bug or intended.

If those guys actually fought the borg, could of won, lol

Borg have nothing on them

There's no option to patrol the trade lanes is there?
I've been trying to find one and can't see it.

This.

Note the mod only works with new games and games in progress will still have pirates (according to reddit, just about to test it myself)

Pirates are awful, boring, and simply annoying to play against. Highly recommend a mod to completely disable them until they revamp the mechanic entirely.

You think the pirates are bad? The Death Snowflakes (Crystalline Entities) are proving way more aggravating.
