BOTF Mode.... please

Hey, I really like this game. As an old Birth of the Federation Fan I am pleased.

However.... I really would like to start from scratch and build up my own federation.
Like in an entirely unexplored galaxy where every location of every species is random.
And just one Planet as a starter planet. Not even a Starbase, just a "colony" and a cunstructionship. ideally from the Archer Era moving up to 25 century designs.

I understand, that this could be content of DLC´s if this game is succesfull enough. However,
The "free game" with everything random and only one starterplanet should be a no brainer and delivered via a patch.

An optional Round-Based Mode with email notifications for multiplayer would be neat too ;) (I know, I know... just sayin)

are the devs reading in this forum, I hope so.

You prob want to look at Stellaris.. It has a star trek total conversion that can do just that.

Maybe they will make it compatible with this at some point.

See i responded in detail on another of your posts about why this is bad, basic features like the one you mention should be in the game already and not added as DLC i mean seriously coming from BOTF u know part of the fun was the exploration , the development of treaties, you wouldn't always meet the Vulcans for example... you get none of that here

Well, it is not BOTF after all and I agree, a free game mode should be in it free of charge. This is why I wrote

I mean don't get me wrong modding is always a plus but my gripe and iv'e been consistent across discussions, is that it shouldn't need to have modders fix yet another game. These are basics that should be in the base game right from day 1, specially in the trek universe, part of trek has always been about exploration and doubly so when it comes to factions like federation. This game brings none of that and even gets the groundwork abysmally wrong, the base elements of the lore are wrong in some important cases. Its just incredibly sad and disappointing .

No doubt because its star trek i will buy again down the line but not at full price probably in a year or two for £9.99 maximum cos thats all its worth
