They have Mirandas which is from TOS era (Wrath of Khan). Why not add Excelsior as well then? Excelsiors were in TNG and DS9 frequently.
Also the Ambassador, Nebula, and Galaxy Classes are all TNG era ships and don't appear in TOS era.
Oh, I haven't seen them yet. I thought they were already available long before Khitomer.
I have the Intrepids (Voyager) in the game. They came way after Excelsior.
I have most all Star Trek games ever made including the real stinkers, but I worry just like Star Trek Online has done or Star Trek Timelines, this is going to be a heavily monetized game.
Not uncommon in Paradox games to have to buy DLC/Expansion packs to get newer ships, new factions, etc so only finding a few ship type is not unexpected. I will just wait for Humble Bundle to put it in one of it monthly choice bundles or this goes on sale with 5 or 10 dlc packs added in at a low price. This rule of thumb applies to all games I buy today and probably the last decade. Why pay the high price of a new game when it isn't going to make a difference except maybe in pvp and events I will miss to save $20-40.
This is not Star Trek online. It is a grand strategy game spread over a 300 year timeline. Expect the content to be spread out accordingly.
Any other ships in the game? The promo images shows the Excelsior.
The Star Trek New civilisations total conversion for Stellaris has over 500 ships in it..
2. Yea... feels wrong that they got hte license yet FAILED at using it properly
3. What would be wrong in adding the ships untill then for start? Klingons would start off with at least Shielded BoP's alongside K'tinga's and K'vorts at least.
All we know is : This game needs some Modding touching (as its already a great system that each race has DIFFERENT ships and slot combinations at least) and then it will outperform Stellaris big time. The trek mod of Stellaris covers more timeline shure, but does a bad job at it realy.. also its heavily outdated with the dev's REFUSING to update it to modern stellaris specs.
You can then add Nebula (light cruiser), Intrepid (Cruiser), and Galaxy (Battleship).
Have Defiant as special corvette warship and have Sovereign replace Galaxy.
Not a huge ship line up there but you at least hit the big ones used a lot in the TV series
