It's a good ship.
I presume the Ferenghi will be one.
Hence why I said giving the option of RPing TNG in the background or, you know, the option of building ships of her class, after all D was just one of the many Galaxy class heavy explorers built and crewed, she wasn't even the first one. so having an event chain to build her feels... dunno, off.
Expand just 2-3 new systems outwards and you'll solve that issue in no time. Your contact list will explode - and the "Closed Borders" auto-defaults on the new contacts (I have "Cautious Approach").
The Enterprise was special, it was the flagship of the fleet. Also the only one that ever seemed to be within a couple of light years of Earth for some mysterious reason. To be fair it's not like it's mission tree is particularly onerous; for most of the missions under it it's just stuff you'd be doing with a science ship to begin with - in fact I think I got three of them while having the Enterprise set on auto-survey.
I also still haven't figured out Crusher's tree very well also.
Only this side of TNG, remeber by ST2 it was a school ship for cadets on their final year.
and while it was the pride of the fleet, and in many ways one the best billet, she wasn't alone in her tasks, it is just the ship we see the universe thru.
Having the option of a rol play of TNG? sure, opting for something more broad should also be broad. in other words, we should treat the galaxies like the game is treating enterprise.
