Romulan cloaking
How do I cloak my ships? I developed the device installed it but how do I hide ships?

This has confused me too, I have it installed but I don't understand how it works.
I can see Klingon ships (we're at war) in my space but they're invisible, I can't attack them but the game says they're in my space. If I tell my fleets to attack them they jump into klingon space too so I really don't understand if they're cloaked or if its bugged lol
I was atleast hoping for some kind of semi transparent effect to tell you that theyre cloaked up

Same. First I though its some kind of passive effect but no. And no cloak button

think it might be a bug
Letobrick Oct 13, 2023 @ 12:42am
Hmm, could be a bug. Report here so the devs are aware: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/star-trek-infinite-bug-reports.1160/

I actually like the game. Barebones but good enough for a start... I'll expect quite some patches and DLC in the future like most Paradox or Paradox published games.

From what i read over there, they auto cloak and then decloak in combat, wich makes cloak pretty pointles (you cant actually see any gfx of it), in lore ships generally cloak in combat too

Well if we talk about lore - Romulans could send their ships to your system cloaked

From my observation it seems they stay cloaked until in range. Guess it's good if you have short ranged weapons on your ships? Not sure what else it does.

Thank you very much! Devs should have described this confusing mechanic at least!
