Any way of unlocking Observer mode?

Having fun with the game so far, but was wondering if it is possible to activate observer mode, it seems to be locked when entering the 'observe' code. A bit of a shame as I always enjoy just setting a Paradox game running in the background and seeing how it pans out - think it would be fun to do with this. Is there a debug mode which unlocks it or something?

I have, I've got it and it's a good game, thanks very much!

Just always enjoy a Stellaris observer game and was surprised it didn't work, the other codes seem to :)

Thanks, that is what I did, as in the main Stellaris game, but I'm getting "Impossible to switch to Observer mode" as a response, is this what other people are getting?

Observe does not work, but you can write " human_ai " on the console, and you have what you are searching for. This worked for me
