Yup, saw it a million miles away, no more Paradox games for me ever.

Lesson learnt. Don't ever BUY a Paradox game again.

Wow. So i really am going to have to go back to a different game to have a full ST experience with thanks to modders.....
WTF....

Embarrassing. Paradox digging its own grave.

For me, it's not the money I paid because I got a bunch of hours of entertainment... It's all the energy and time I invested into it. There's a phase where you know you're playing an incomplete game and you're getting to watch it develop - but usually you get the final product at the end of it. I feel robbed of something more important than a few quid.

Normally I dont like seeing games modified/patched that I already like "how they are". But STI is an exception. Here I was hoping to find a state that it deserves. :steamsad:

It was a clear cash grab on paradox part. Even if they wanted to be lazy, they could have just repurposed/reskinned stellaris dlc and make it work.

yeah it was a cash grab but lucky for me I only spent 15 bucks for the game by changing region so I think I got my money's worth after 125 hours of game play.

As forum users will know, I'm hardly the game or devs greatest fans, but at least Paradox did the right thing in the end and actually confirmed this has been abandoned. I know of other games were there was no announcement. This doesn't of course excuse the lack of communication and player engagement during the development, at launch, or afterwards, but at least there is now some closure.

I just hope those thinking about buying the game will just check out the ever growing negative reviews on Steam first. As a Star Trek fan, especially TNG/DS9/VOY, i'm so disappointed in how NG has completely squandered this, and neither it or Paradox won't try to turn it around, but as I say at least we now know that it is the end.

To try and draw some kind of positive out of all this, I hope STI, and the recent shambolic launch of City Skylines 2, serve as a big wake-up call to Paradox, and a catalyst for change.

It was such an utter waste of potential. Bitterly disappointed by the news. Well Paradox now get to sit on my sadly growing list of enshittified game companies now. :steamdeadpan:

Yet they refuse to make a post on Steam about it, mention it on the page and still charge full price for the game.

Well, except it's no fault of paradox, as the Argentinian Studio Nimble Giant, which is owned by Saber Interactive, basically went bankrupt, maybe because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ economic situation in Argentina, and they basically laid off a lot of developers over the past year and the beginning of this year. And Saber Interactive was sold to another company in March. But hey, I know reading and a little bit of research are hard.

its not a paradox game tho they just published it there not the developers but it does mean paradox as the publisher might now scoop up the rights to this game especially given the company that owns the developer is looking for money and having money issues so I mean there might be more news later
