Can't change the resolution on my M1 Mac

I play over Stream on a Mac Studio M1.
I have an Apple Studio Display with a resolution 5120 x 2880.

When I change the resolution on the game, it tells me I need to restart the game.
I do, but when I come back, even if the resolution SETTING says I have changed, I actually have the exact same resolution as before.

Can anyone help, please?

I've tried to play this on my m3 pro macbook pro, and the game doesn't like full screen, it only seemed to work well with borderless.

Thank you, duplissi! I arrived to the exact conclusion. If I put a borderless window, I get the higher resolution.

Can’t run Star Trek infinite. I lunch the game and the screen is too big to be displayed on my Mac Studio display. Running it on a m2 studio. What do I have to do?

I tried all the 7 patches and tried all the different display settings. They won’t change the resolution. Waits for an update patch over 3 months and no fixes. Really wanted the game so I waited for a fix but none yet. Asked for a refund as I’ve given up and asked steam. They won’t give a refund.

Uninstalled many times as checked game integrity.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
