UI Scaling (Steam Deck)

This has quickly become a favorite of mine on Steam Deck. Very enjoyable and relaxing to play. There were issues with the missions trees which have now been fixed,

However since the patch the game is almost totally unplayable on Steam Deck due to the tiny blurred text and no ability to increase the size of the UI? The scaling fixed some issues but made the game unplayable in the process.

I have tried the Clearer Fonts Mod and while it helped everything is still far too small. Can this be fixed as id love to get playing back on the Steam deck again!

Its completely unplayable on the SteamDeck for me because of the UI.

On release, the UI looked good but several screens had buttons or information cut off.

Because of this I had to scale down to 0.8x which made everything tiny.

I eagerly awaited the new patch.

Now, the setting for 1.0x appears to be what was around 0.7x or less in the original release. Its unreadable. I'm straining to see it. Its ruined the game . I can't play it.

Desperately need a fix here. I'm so disappointed in this game with all the other bugs too.

I agree with you. It was a fun experience on Steam Deck too. So a fix for this would be amazing. I was able to work around the decision tress not fitting on the screen but now with the UI scaled its unplayable.

I play on mine at 1680x1050 resolution with UI scaling set to 1.1 and with the Clearer Fonts mod. Yes it's smaller than it was, but I find it playable and with all the UI intact. I only need the magnifier when I'm reading a lot of text.

How do you set this at 1680x1050 on Steam Deck? Thanks. Clearer Fonts is great!

-Select your game from the home page
-"Click" the cogwheel to the far right and select properties
-Under "General" tab (default tab) there is a drop down menu called Game Resolution. Set to 1920x1080 (trust me).
-Right below that, set the "Set resolution for internal and external display" setting to on as well.

Now you should have 1680x1080 and higher available in the launcher and I game. Make sure to set one of these. I hope that that helps.

I don't appear to have these options to chance resolution or scaling.

I'm pressing the cog on the main page of the game in Steam. No option for resolution.

I have the resolution option in game, but I can only select the Steamdeck default. As well, my scaling is maxed out at 1.0x. I can only lower it.

Am I in the wrong place?

Are you selecting properties when you click on the cogwheel?

Works if you follow as above. I then set to 1.3. The only issue remaining is it cuts off most of the mission tree but I will have a play with it :)

Yes. Then I'm on general tab.

I have Steam Overlay. In game Overlay. Steam VR. Steam Cloud. Launch option box.

Hmmmm.... My best guess at this point is that it may be a Steam Deck beta or preview system update. If you aren't using one of those update channels, I recommend trying. You can always go back if you don't like it.
