Necessary Improvements ASAP
Hopefully someone from Paradox reads this:
- A revamp of the war dynamics, especially as the federation you can't initiate a war to liberate an integrated subject which halts the mission tree (see Bajor). You also can't control the end of a war when it comes to a humiliation war, the computer decides when the they are humiliated enough. There should also be other ways to initiate a war (commercial war, conquest should always be on the table even if it comes with an instability penalty. you should also be able to use spys to bait a major power into a war).
-Building management, currently you have to pick each system or starbse individually to build a new district or building. This makes management slow and tedious, I would recommend a management interface that ressembles the EU4 interface where you can select a building or district type to simplify and accelerate the process. The current approach also creates incredibly long and inefficient scroll down menus
- A TECH TREE, the current research process doesn't give a way to focus on a strategic objective and results in a ineffective way to develop your empire. Even a simple tech level system that would allow you to prioritize elements would be better (for the OGs see Birth of the Federation game)
- The mission tree is completely dependant on random event for the entreprise section, I have done 2 games as the federation and i have never been able to complete the enterprise mission tree because none of the events we initiated with the Enterprise.
-missions: several missions seem to be broken by simple gameplay randomness especially the Borg missions, I couldn't complete one with Janeway because the game would not recognize her and her science ship (why not Voyager?) was destroyed. Furthmore, I could not complete one with Picard because the relevant system was controlled by the Cardassians and since I couldn't start a war to access it, it remained incomplete further halting my progress.
- RENAME the HIGHWAYS TO WORMHOLES and seperate them.. there aren't any interconnected wormholes in Star Trek either... Stellaris lore isn't Star Trek lore.... and Why can't we build starbases in these systems (See Deep Space 9!!!!)

Addition 1 - Why do all the empires have the same 6 traditions to pick from and why can we only select 6! it limits gameplay and decreases variety of results, again they should pull from EU4 to add more possibilities and options
