it's normally a RTS like Stellaris

shame, might skip it then, i prefer turn based for these types of games i mean i played sins but didnt like the real time of it.

These types of games though can be paused at any time, its not like a crazy twitch based rts game like Command and Conquer. I have not played sins, but I think this game and Stellaris are slower and more focused on long term strategy. One option is to buy this game, give it a try, and just make sure that you play less than 2 hours, so that you can get a refund within two weeks if it is not your thing.

Another option is add Stellaris to your Steam Wishlist. It might go on sale before STI releases, or on a free weekend, and you can see how that plays. STI will follow almost exactly the same playstyle.

Isnt it turned based like Stellaris where a turn is a day and some actions trigger just monthly.

But with fluid fleet movement and auto pause only if something happend.

Ok I was looking for the RTS genre, my favourite RTS was Starcraft and the old Age of Empire 1+2. But they count Stellaris as RTS as well.

Whatever, hope they take short turns like stellaris and not like Birth of the Fed. or Master of Orion.

Its real time with pause function, while in the end it plays like a mix of turn based Birth of the Federation and Real Time ST: Armada.

Because a) you do not need to wait until the other player ended their turn, while b) its not as stressfull as a regular RTS like Armada or Starcraft. Based on Stellaris, its not about click speed, but about the decisions you make. Also you can change the pace/speed of the game, to your (and your friends) liking.

So it might just be the mix you like?

Yes it feels natural and relaxant.

Saying this is a hybrid turned/real time based game though is deceiving, there is "no turns" a la the natural way like BOTF, Civilizations 5 it's really pause and play gameplay. If you've played games like Europa Universals 4, Crusader Kings 3, etc... its like that. But as others have said you can control the speed to really take in the immersion and situation whatever is going on. Pause it to make your orders and stuff, then unpause to let the game go by. As you get good or more fluid at understanding the game, you'll be making decisions in real time without pausing.

Some prefer to have these games at maximum speed so you'll see the time really fly, me on the other hand I always play on the next to slowest or normal speed. It's a lot of clicking and looking at UI menus too. If it helps, check out this IGN preview it's about 4 minutes long and you can kind of see how time moves by and such since it has actual in-game footage not just from the preview trailers.
