Make object's more modifiable to do weird things.
I'm an amateur in game development, but one of the few things I think most folks in gaming today, whether making a dungeon or first person shooter, are missing is to take full control of their engine/environment and giving it to the player to mess about in.

An example of this; Anyone ever play Mischief Makers? 2D Platformer using 3D elements for platforms on the Nintendo 64? Like Klonoa but not Klonoa? Each level in that title wasn't straight forward for a good reason as the developers we're developed the game where each level took the character's move set and had it apply to do other things... And your moves we're grabbing, Shaking, throwing, Digging and using a Jet Pack to maneuver quickly!!!

Levels done in it; There was a level in world one that was a fetch quest where you had to drag 3 kids back home for dinner and each of them are a terror, not wanting to go home and running away from you or putting you in harms way to slow you down. Another Level was a carnival where in order to find the exit, you had to try out the rides to find which one lead to the exit properly. There is a world dedicated to playing dodgeball, sports, racing; etc. You get where I'm going.

So, I guess what I'm asking is can there be a way to modify the palette and tools given further to make more interesting dungeons?

Hey Quto,
thank you so much for your detailed feedback :)

There will come more tools/themes -> this is what I understood, if I´m wrong please let me know! What will not work is to upload personal assets since this might cause that stuff will feel and look unfinished or not in place.

Cheers,
Flo

Sorry if I was being vague; so I'll be more direct.

The ability to alter behaviour of object's, enemies and the environment to do other things.

Example, a monster A.I. enemy act's friendly, uninterested in the hero in a dungeon about racing and competing to be the boss of the dungeon and the only way top escape is to beat them at their own game's in races, tests or strength, basic combat, etc.

Example, though it would be more moon logic, setup a wall to react to when it get's hit with a sword 2 or 3 times and it spawns eggs, items or maybe the wall you tapped with your sword blows up.

While tools would be awesome; I guess I'm asking would those tools be more versatile to allow odd changes like this? If not, then it's just wishful thinking on my end.
