We all would have loved to add even more features, DLC or new expansions to the game after launch, but to be blunt the commercial interest isn't there. It's a great game with huge potential, but it didn't make up it's development costs nor any profit from what I can tell.
The genre deserves love though, that's why we do send people over to Quest Master, as they basically pick up where we left and try to add different features to the game. They have a different approach and it might just work. So if you're into creating dungeons and aren't happy with SDM, check them out. We're not affiliated - but we do share a passion.
Ah. Well, you probably should've made it clearer that the 1.1 update was the final major update.
Publishers and devs quite often get a bad wrap for "not trying enough", but I can at least tell you that we did try and, as you rightfully pointed out, it might have reflected poorly in our communication. It's something we do look into though, also due to feedback like yours, so everyone involved is better in the loop in future projects.
I feel like this post was very manipulative and that we should have hopes for some of these things to be added (only one was, coins). The game should have never been considered released. That seems like a cop out of finishing the game, and it tells people what to expect from early access from rokaplay going forward. I personally won't ever trust rokaplay for early access games in the future. I'm not trying to be mean here, but it seems like minimal effort could add some of this stuff in... Give me a week and the source code and I could have several of these things coded and I'll do it for free.
I agree with the rest of your message, but that last part sounds a little manipulative.
Not everything is a live service video game, OP.
This is a single player game.
Stop acting like a jester and simple accept that - especially in term of indie games.
This was never promised to be a 10 year old running game.
You litteraly gave this game a negative review after 40 of in game hours simple because you expected to have more content added to the game.
The game is not even as buggy as you are stating. Nothing but tons of false information in your review.
Seriously, what is wrong with you?
I mean I enjoyed the game. However, I wasn't happy with the lack of gizmos. They had the number of themes good. I just feel they could have at least balanced between themes and new dungeon parts. Though I never had any bugs, It does not mean they are wrong. I mean its not proven to me that it has bugs. But that what the majority of the people are saying.
Another thing is that there is Quest Master. A game that is constantly being updated. They are both $20. So I would understand why people would rather pay for Quest Master than this game.
We just have to accept that this game wasted its potential. And for the people who still like this game. Im sure the community is still out there making dungeons for this game.
