Is there any reason why not to get corrupted?

I'm just a tad confiused.. so.. surrendering ups your corruption level. As does winning fights, just slower through XP. Bringing back maidens lowers it again.
is there any real reason why you should ever lower it? whenever I bring back maidens, I'm weaker afterwards, so I'm beginning to think why I should do it.
I spent a while just killing every latex monster I came across to grind a bit, but once I returned the maidens I was weaker than when I started the journey.

I'm sure there's something I just don't understand

you can lower your corruptuon via rescuing maidens, every time you break a seedbed or beat a monster you get one, deliver them to the church to reduce your corruption

I finished the game with corruption, now I m trying without but even not loosing fight means gaining corruption. I am also disapointed, as finally the game is quite linear. I would hope a new orientation of the game if you "resist corruption". It would be less boring and repetitive.

There are actually two "winning" endings. One ending requires beating the boss with low corruption, while the other requires high corruption. Don't know what the breakpoints are though, and each gives an achievement.

I got the best Ending with +100 Corruption. Pretty sure it is just

Best Ending : Beat the FB with Stella "recruited"
Normal : No Stella
Bad : Lose the Fight.

No, Stella shows up at the end regardless of whether or not she's still the Queen Bee.

No. Infestation is the "level" of your body parts. Corruption is that number at the bottom of your stats. It's determined by how many NPCs you've corrupted, and how many of the non-combat NPCs you've interacted with and chosen to either Release or not to.

infestation is stat for you fighting best way to deal with is not beat ever ememy in a area after saving people will boost you hp and mp were infestation deal with other stats.
