How is the AI?
As the title suggests, I wonder how the AI NPC's are in terms of dynamic behaviour? Are they flanking, taking cover, surpress etc?

Sort of yes.
I played on easy though. But I felt they are similar to Sandstorm AI / BF2042 AI.
You would beat it one on one but one vs 5 you will not win to easy. So positioning is important.
Im not sure if they are "Flanking" or just spawn behind you, but you cannot farm the bots super easy like you can in Hired Ops.
