i usually allow wounds up to 50% HP or some more, depending on how much enemy is left or if i have to face tough battle right after. after all there is barely any HP gain when you dont allow for wounds. healing wounds gains HP quite nicely.
on the pic you can also see militia. in the first battle i had 32 blue militia with me, about 10 or so survived the battle. without them it would have been mostly impossible or very very hard. the militia acts as a sponge and soak up some damage, and binds forces that would otherwhise come to you.
it buys you time to concentrate onto a axis of advance and push it hard up to a place where you can build up a kill sack. the more restrictive and channeling the terrain is the better.
in the 2nd battle it was almost easy, i had trained 15 green militia in the meantime after i took the blue ones north for a mine defense in between, and the enemy came from south. since the AI can not cut fences it is channeled into the killsack automaticly. the few that try go to the side where easy to pick off.
I'm not very good yet either.
there are more citys and there is the demo sector aldea aka demoville. the level from the original demo, i loved to see that again and fight in it.
since you can change pretty much anything in the ini its not so bad if you not "very good" yet, you can play it on more easy mode and all will be good(or should be).
however readme say the mod is meant to be played in expert difficulty with no more than 75k start money. that is what is suggested but i dont think it matters if you play expirienced for example and use 100k, you still have good game.
