Upgrading your bed is important. Using your own bed is important. The guard beds are too out of reach in the edicts to upgrade.
Using the hero jewelry makes life easier but you need to unlock that from another play through that lets you unlock those.
Since you are gaining +Maso points from multiple defeat scenes each floor it becomes a viable strategy.
-Clear the path from defeat room to the exit, in case you'll need to return to other floors (riots or edicts)
-Start losing, accumulating defeats for Maso points as well as maxing Endurance
-By doing so you'll also gain money which you should spend on Edicts
-When ready - proceed to the boss and clear the floor.
Do know that enemy placement is slightly different depending on how you started your day - from defeat scene or from proper sleeping in Office\Guard Room. As example, Floor 1 - if you are defeated and started your day from Bar Storage - there will be a unskippable Thug fight at the exit, but if you return to your office and rest properly - enemies will disappear. Same with Slimes on 2nd floor, they respawn and block your way if you start the day from toilet.
It will be a slow, painfully slow run.
But if you rush or level up wrong stats - you'll fail it no matter what.
Thank you so much for the in depth explanation! i am going to try out what you are saying.
